Analyst Job Search - 11/1/2011

Responsibilities:

The analyst will collaborate with prominent progressive organizations to successfully implement large-scale field experiments. S/he will manage the project through all stages from randomization to the final report, including:

  • data cleaning and management
  • randomization
  • monitoring to ensure proper implementation
  • regression-based analyses
  • authoring the final report

Analysts must have a strong background in quantitative analysis and are expected to keep up with the latest developments in statistics, programming, data analysis, and/or social sciences through independent research and periodic lab meetings.

Analysts must be self-motivated and proactive, comfortable working on multiple projects at once, and able to thrive in a dynamic small business environment. As we are a small group, analysts will also be expected to contribute to the broader good of the company by taking on miscellaneous tasks including data management, administrative work, editing general AI documents, assisting in creating powerpoints, pitching in with the shared responsibilities of a small company, and assisting with website management.

Qualifications:

  • Mastery of statistics software (Stata preferred, R, SPSS, SAS okay)
  • Extensive experience with data analysis
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work well under deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop skills as needed
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Technical skills are a plus (e.g., databases, web development, or other programming)

Location: Washington DC, McPherson Square
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Term: Year Long Contract (with potential for renewal)
